October 17 - 20, 2025 Feeling the need to escape it all? Join us for a 4 day and 3 night backpacking adventure on the Manistee River Trail Loop in Michigan. Trail Length: 19.2 Miles. Elevation change: 1824 feet. I hope you'll join me on this incredible journey into Michigan. I always feel the need to escape to the woods and seek adventure this time of year and give a "shock" to my system. If you're feeling the call to the wild lately as well - whether it be to leave it ALL behind for a few days or to just not have any screen time for 4 days, then this is your calling to join the wild women for a fun adventure up to Michigan. PLEASE NOTE: This trip is only for those who have previously participated in a backpacking adventure with Project Reteach Outdoor Adventures or backpacking trips of their own Logistics: Meet at Manistee River Trailhead at 2PM on 10/17/24. Repack backpacks with food and group and gear and hit the trail to hike about 3 - 4 miles counterclockwise from the trail head. (There will also likely be caravans heading out of Central Indiana heading up to MI if you are one of those people!) What's Included in this trip? *All food (with vegan and gluten free options) are included with the price of this trip! *Majority of all outdoor gear needed is provided in the price of this trip! *Permits, maps, and all first aid kit equipment needed are included in the price of this trip! *6-Week Backpacking Training Plan! *2 Experienced Female Backpacking Guides (this does not include additional tips you would like to provide for all their hard work). *Swag from Project Rewild Outdoor Adventures **Not included: sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and backpack (all available to rent separately); travel to and from the trailhead (you are responsible for your travel to and from the trip); pre-trip lodgings (if you would like to stay near the trailhead the night before the trip begins, you are more than welcome to do so!) Please note that there are no refunds for this adventure. Money paid for this adventure may be used towards a future Project Reteach adventure. All Deposits are non-refundable. Cancellation Policy
To cancel, please contact me directly in no less than 7 days before an event at patty@projectreteach.com For all multi-day trips, please give 90 day notice for cancellation. Anything canceled in less than 90 days cannot be refunded. All deposits are non-refundable. All outdoor experiences/yoga classes with Project Reteach are substance-free and will not be permitted de to the remoteness of these events. Failure to follow any rules or suggestions provided by the outdoor professional guides may result in your removal from the experience due to concerns for the individual's safety.
