Service Description

FORAGING FOR EDIBLE PLANTS/MUSHROOM WEEKEND: March 29 - March 30, 2025 @ Yellowood State Forest Are you someone who enjoys growing your own food and sourcing things directly from the earth? Are you someone who is looking to begin living more holistically and sustainably? Learning how to forage for edible plants and mushrooms is one of the greatest ways to use what our Earth is already naturally giving us. This weekend will include 2 days and 1 night of foraging, wilderness education and camping. Participants will meet on Saturday, March 29 at 10AM at Yellowood State Forest Campsites to begin our meet and greet and start our foraging adventure! Participants will learn basic map and compass skills, the Leave No Trace ethics of public lands, how to identify edible plants/mushrooms and more! All camping equipment (excluding sleeping bags and sleeping pads) will be included in the price of this weekend. All food (with vegan and gluten free options) with a focus on healthy and seasonable foods, will be provided in the pricing of this weekend. A small booklet for taking notes on how to identify edible plants will also be provided. We will hike upwards of 3-5 miles each day. Equipment list for all necessary items to bring for the weekend will be provided as well. Not interested in an overnight adventure? Cancellation Policy

To cancel, please contact me directly in no less than 7 days before an event at patty@projectreteach.com For all multi-day trips, please give 90 day notice for cancellation. Anything canceled in less than 90 days cannot be refunded. All deposits are non-refundable. All outdoor experiences/yoga classes with Project Reteach are substance-free and will not be permitted de to the remoteness of these events. Failure to follow any rules or suggestions provided by the outdoor professional guides may result in your removal from the experience due to concerns for the individual's safety.
